LIA is seeking a skilled AV Project Manager with a unique blend of project leadership and advanced AV programming expertise.

  • Position: AV Project Manager 
  • Location: Washington, DC
  • Position Type: Long-term contract  
  • Travel: Hybrid 
Role Summary: 

This role will oversee the execution of audiovisual (AV) projects from initiation through completion while leveraging technical knowledge to support system programming and integration. The ideal candidate will have experience managing AV/VTC teams, overseeing budgets and schedules, and ensuring seamless functionality of AV systems across enterprise and government projects


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end AV and VTC projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

  • Oversee project teams, including AV programmers, technicians, and engineers, while providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and onboarding support.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define project requirements, develop project plans, and manage deliverables.

  • Design and implement AV control systems, including Crestron, QSC Q-SYS, and Extron platforms, as part of project execution.

  • Develop and test source code, touch panel layouts, and DSP configurations to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.

  • Oversee installation and commissioning of video walls, VTC systems, and AV systems for conference rooms, auditoriums, secured facilities, and overflow spaces.

  • Perform risk management, schedule updates, and progress tracking to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Review and approve vendor proposals, technical documentation, and integration plans to ensure project alignment and value optimization.

  • Provide quality assurance testing for control systems, DSP performance, and user interface usability, both in-house and onsite.

  • Serve as a technical lead for troubleshooting, resolving AV/VTC system challenges, and implementing solutions.

  • Train end-users on AV system functionality and provide ongoing support as required.

  • Ensure all project deliverables meet industry standards and client specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BFA in Computer Art, Interactive Design, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.

  • Clearance: Public Trust or TS/SCI clearance as required by project.

  • Certifications: 

    • AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification strongly preferred

    • Crestron Master Certified Programmer (MCP) or Crestron Certified Programmer.

    • QSC Q-SYS Certifications: Control 201, Level 2, Video 101, Reflect Enterprise Manager Technician.

    • Extron Control Professional Certification
Experience and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in AV/VTC project management and programming.

  • Proven success leading AV teams on large-scale projects for enterprise, higher education, or government clients (e.g., DISA, FEMA).

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee budgets, schedules, and quality deliverables while providing hands-on technical leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of Crestron, QSC Q-SYS, Extron, and other AV control systems.

  • Expertise in video wall integration, VTC systems, and DSP configurations.

  • Ability to develop, test, and troubleshoot AV control code, user interfaces, and automation features.

  • Proficiency in system installation, network integration, and project documentation review.

  • Strong project management and team leadership abilities.

  • Advanced programming and troubleshooting expertise.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to deliver technical solutions that align with project goals and client needs.

  • Proficient in risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making
